I'm pretty sure it's the li-ions. Which is 3.7 v

aero ace uses a 150mah lipo that has 4.2 volts fully charged. There have been people that have rigged it with larger motors and a larger capacity lipo and have cooked the electronics after a few flights. The AA jet uses stronger motors, but still just runs on the single lipo. I believe it uses the 150mah full river lipo as well.
