if your going for the "street racer" look then you definately should go with a bold color like red or kawasaki green or supra orange. I think it would be cool if you could simulate brand decals in the windows and on the sides like most import tuner cars have. I would also do the under chassis neon mod. some other things that would look nice is some RO_JA looking rims and a spoiler. A big exhaust pipe at the end like a tunable muffler would look sweet. A body drop mod would make it all come together as well. Thats bout all i can think of so i hope it helps you out and im lookin forward to seeing the finished car soon.

yep big ray is right..the keys to a "street racer look" would be:
bright colors
big spoiler
as many lights as possible
big ol' exhaust...
heck just make everything be as extreme as possible without being too comical, and you would have the perfect effect!
and you could take some small LED's and grind them flat on the end, then color everything except the rim of the flat surface, to make neon speaker rings for under the rear glass. now that would be pimp.

Low to the ground, carbon fiber hood & trunk, a muffler, custom paint, a few stripes, 8000k blue headlights & fogs, and 1 or 2 window banners smile.gif

Just put things on the car that sets it apart from the rest

hey not to get off subject (ok to get off sunject but i am really curious). what is up with the 4000k, 6000k, 8000k etc for headlights?
i just looked it up, and 8000k is 13940 Fahrenheit. isn't that hotter then the surface of the sun? so if your headlights were that hot, wouldn't they immediately incinerate the front end of your car?

and the CF is a good idea, i made a good printable CF pattern scaled down to zipzap scale, it is in here somewhere. but instead of stripes i would go graphics, that seems more street racer, while stripes seem more American muscle to me.

also, if you want a large text graphic on the side, make the text on the other side look like it is in a mirror. you know with reverse letters, and such. that seems to be the thing to do these days.

Sounds good.

As a matter of fact, I am doing the same thing to my rx-8 also. So far I have two coats of orange paint on it. It allready has a lowering job, but I also want to put in some underglow, muffler, cf hood and maybe some side pannel decals.

Keep it up, and lets see some pics!

This also can refer to color temperature....6500K is the color of daylight....an incandessant light is in the 4000K range (yellowish) the higher the numbers the bluer the color

that all sounds great exept for lowering the front more than the back. That says drag car muscle to me more than import tuner. lowering it is great but it should have an even body stance, the front and back should be lowered the same height. A body drop mod would look great too, after that you might not even have to drop suspension.

He probably jsut didn't notice the date on the post. I have done that before.

Or, maybe he did a search (on what, i don't know) and didn't notice the date. Or he was looking bakco nold topics, and didn't relize how far he got.
Why would he do it on purpose? smile.gif

you never know bman, you never know.

but as i see it, since the member that started the build, never did it, and nevr came back....maybe it should be closed?
bigray1026
thats true about closing the thread. I had hit this thread up awhile back and as it was pretty close to the top of the list i really didnt notice how long ago its been since there was a post. Sorry for "digging it up" but it was completely unententional. If id seen the date then i wouldnt have bothered. thanx though for catching that.
