its come to my attention that everyone now expects the wrong thing from
new members and thread. let me clarify. Lately I've been receiving
reports about "useless" threads. When you really should help the new member. Thats why we're here. So be friendly and encourage help and discussion about your favorite micro RC cars.

Can I also add that if you do not know what you are talking about, then don't post. There is so much "wrong" information going around these days. It's alright to make mistakes, but you must understand where they come from. Many people think that they know more then they acually do. If information is inaccurate, then it will be read by somebody. Then they will think it is right and it will spread around when they try to adivse somebody with that inaccurate information. It just gets so annoying trying to argue with somebody that doesn't know what the heck is he talking about, but he thinks that he knows everything.

sometimes the wrong info is better then none. without any info their will be no discussion its up to the members to put out the right stuff. so if someone posts wrong info, correct them...... nicely.

Couldn't agree more, there's alot of people that just mislead eachother on a wild goose chase, it's pathetic, I've seen it end up with people ready to buy this new car, when given the correct info, they would have stayed well away from it. rolleyes.gif

This is all down to younger members though, no offence as alot of them are pretty cool and know what they are going on about a bit, but some are just, to put it bluntly, annoying children. Hence why I prefer the "adult" microrc site. wink.gif

Againt though, no disrespect to mrcc, and it's my choice to be here.

I like to think we've come a long way here towards weeding out the missinformation. The "kids" on this site need to get accurate information so they don't spread misinformation. They aren't welcome on adult sites so they come here with their questions. Fortunately we have people patient enough and experienced enough to help out and answer their questions. Also, fortunately, we have members that are experienced enough to answer the more advanced questions. I know you don't mean to lay it all on the younger crowd stylez, but our most abusive members and spreaders of missinformation have been adults. People that the younger kids look up to and respect the opinion of, and those "Adults" took advantage of that trust and used it to hurt and dammage our comunity.

Age brings knowledge through experience, how you use that knowledge either makes you wise, or a cynical smart-donkey.

Edit- I'm not talking about any particular instance, there have been a few instances and more than a few adult members at fault. They don't all hail from the same site either. There are several sites that these members call home, and a couple of those sites are adult R.C. sites.

Even n00bs can be answering questions. we have all the info here on this forum. a little bit of searching can lead you to the answers. but then their are times where it takes way too long (trust me i've searched a good few hours straight for info here. thats why i end up catching up with a dozen rule breakers and spam the BA section with all of that once and awhile)
