People have done it, so you should be able to. Just buy a body and figure it out.

Hi,
I have some questions. I'm thinking about making a kind of rally track system. I will try to make small track parts out of thin wood (hard top plate) and make straights, different kind of coreners,... The different parts will be attached to eachother with another wooden part. I think its best to add a carpet layer on the parts. With the different track parts you should be able to try out different layouts. (Like slotcar tracks, but from a start line to a finish line. My questions: What do u think is an ideal track width. It's for one single car. How long does a straight line have to be to have a "straight line feeling". What is the minimum turning radius of a MiniZ? What do u guys think of the idea? I'm not sure I will start with the project, I'm just thinking of it right now... HaCo |

i have a question
will regular mini-z (mr01 and mr02) motors fit in a overland? also would an iwaver 01 x-speed pro motor work in an overland WITHOUT fetting it? Regular Mini-Z motors are in OL's. You would need a fet stack for an Iwaver Xspeed Pro. If you are planning on doing alot of crawling with your OL, I would recommend doing a FET upgrade even if you are on the stock motor. You can ask DaveMud about how he burnt his FETs with the stock motor. -------------------- |

ok i dont plan to do anything like davemud does
i dont think i could haldnle that kind of stuff i just want to be able to cruise at a nice high speed every once in awhile (i wont use any hotter motors while climbing and also wont use anything hot enough to roast my fets) maybe nice regular x-speeed or an escalation (escalations dont require fets for flat-land driving right?) -------------------- "im just gonna take a minute and let it ride, im just gonna take a minute and it be"

From what I have been hearing, you can use the escalation motor without any FET upgrade. They're pretty fast from what I have heard. Not sure how it compares to the PN speedy. -------------------- Team Losi Mini-T

i also have one more question i heard that you have to buy duratrax after market cup-joints to accomodate their ball bearings (for overland once again) and wel.. i got some free ball bearings when i ordered my new overland and didnt want to have to buy new cup joints to install them also how do i install the bearings in the drivetrain etc and, does any one know where i can get the little clip that holds the front peice of the diff on? i want to take the idiot that decided not to include a replacemnt one of those tear out his/her stomach and force feed it to him/her thorugh his rear really its like the easiest to lose part why not inlcude at least one more? I'm new to the mini-z scene, especially the Overland one. I'm gonna get an OL soon and I'm wondering, do regular Mini-Z road car wheels fit on an OL?

Sasquatch, Yes, racer wheels are a direct fit on OLs ideally you want a set that has 4 wide wheels. Adrenaline, do you mean the part the ball head screw for the suspension arm screws into or the motor clip? You can make both parts fairly easily. Email me if you need help on how to do it. DM |

no its the little clip that you need to take in order to dis-assemble your differential on an overland (like so you can get to the little gears inside) its a very small c-ring clip its shaped like a clip and it holds the very front part of the diff onn where the differential locker goes
