lol, just saw the comments on the butane torch iron. You should have specified it was a portable iron, they thought you were welding it with a brazing torch! Torch irons use a low flame setting and the flame is encapsulated by the soldering tip. It's not dangerous to use, it's just not something for everyday use. Great for field work when you're out somewhere that doesn't have power to plug into... like the race track or the flying field.
