anyone on here own one? ive been looking at them for some time. probably going to get me one before the year is over laugh.gif unless i hit big on the lottery or the price drops. you think at the size they are and on a track to just play around with (i dont know of any people around me that races them) is worth the 400 or so to get one with the starter pack?

post it in the 1/43 section with epochs ... Thats such a redonculouse ripoff. 230 dollars for one of those vehicles because they're the only hobby grade 1/43 on the market. It sucks that they don't even make the epoch anymore. I bet you could build a sweet 1/43 scale out of a combination of micro't and radi-can parts that would be just as good as that Dnano. They want 60 bucks just for a body shell on one of those things.

yeah a kingpin front suspension with interchangeable springs, a T-bar rear suspension and a differential on the rear end. Its the same thing an epoch has. The only difference is this one is 2.4ghz and comes with a lipo battery standard. All of that extra control it talks about is in the TX and you can get a programable tx and a lipo for your epoch for a lot less than the price tag on these things. They are a very well packaged product and have a complete chokehold on the market, so if anyone want's to race 1/43 right now, they're going to have to race Kyosho. Or find someone selling their epoch collection.

you used to be able to buy the chassis set for $30 when they were still making them. RTR's were $50-70 depending on where you looked, but they would take any 27mhz hobby grade TX.

The thing about the Dnano seems to be Kyoshos corner on the market for them. They're easier to produce than the Mini-z but cost more. Their hook is the programable 2.4ghz controller and lipo battery, but those are nothing new anymore. 4 years ago, Tamiya would be coming out with the competition, and Tomica would have a clone of it by now...

That's incredibly expensive... I'd so much rather have a 1:10 scale car (which I need to get right now)

I wonder how much the preciseness really matters at that scale. I still can't see how they're charging over $150 for those.

i keep considering a 1:10 offroad truck (that i can run around on grass.. i.e. my yard).

1:43rd is a great scale, if there was major interest around here... i would consider one of these..but then again the price is retarded... especially since I HAVE am epoch (with a custom rx7 body i built for it)

I couldn't see how they were charging more than 70 for an epoch when they were the shiznit. Pricepoint for a micro scale car, absolute top end...60 dollars. high range, 30 dollars. moderate 20 dollars, budget 5-10 dollars. Even epochs were too expensive to sell enough of them, and the U.S. distributor dropped the ball hard core.
