well, since it's been identified, and alot of searching to find out which brand the parts are and what, here it is. i painted the wheels black, cleaned it all up, polished the front steering arm pins so it steers alot easier and better, and also polished the rear axel, since the silver was showing through t he black. still need a rear suspension (damper) setup tho and electronics (bidding on a rtr on ebay, probably wont win, since i hardly every do)

what was wrong with the other dual shock damper system? Looks really clean btw. Nice roller. What electronics do you plan on putting in?

QUOTE(baratacus @ Sep 29 2008, 02:58 AM) what was wrong with the other dual shock damper system? Looks really clean btw. Nice roller. What electronics do you plan on putting in? it doesnt really work to well with this rear setup, theres really no mount for it and i dont want to cut or drill any holes into this nice rear end. plus the screws on the bottom side t hat were into the shock bodies were filed down to w here i couldnt unscrew them, i got mad at trying to get them out, and hooked it to my dremel a nd held the body with some pliars and cranked it on, and it went flying across the room somewhere, lol electronics, ill probably go stock electronics with an fet upgrade. right now im winning on 1 on ebay for cheap, if i can win that, which is a big if, than ill have it running. -------------------- ![]() |

yep, this is your first miniZ.
try out the stock elects, then think about upgrades. it is not really needed to change the electronics, unless you are running a huge track, and competing. -------------------- Buy it, use it, break it, fix it, Trash it, change it, melt - upgrade it, Charge it, point it, zoom it, press it, Snap it, work it, quick - erase it,
Write it, cut it, paste it, save it, Load it, check it, quick - rewrite it, Plug it, play it, burn it, rip it, Drag it, drop it, zip - unzip it, Lock it, fill it, call it, find it, View it, coat it, jam - unlock it, Surf it, scroll it, pose it, click it, Cross it, crack it, switch - update it, Name it, rate it, tune it, print it, Scan it, send it, fax - rename it, Touch it, bring it, pay it, watch it, Turn it, leave it, start - format it. |

even competing, a fet upgrade will handel most motors that are allowed in competitions. Try to keep your mini-z clean with just parts made for it without beasting it up.
I know that's super hard for some of us to do. I think Scarr and Hopper are both candidates for the D.I.H. (dremmel in hand) society. If you want to run turbos and brushless and lithium, get a cheap iwaver to hack on. They're still loads of fun and you won't be to hurt if you waste a $30 chassis. -------------------- "God is just an imaginary friend for grown ups" Morgan Freeman, The Big Bounce |

which Iwaver is it? the new 02M's have the dual shock suspension that you used to have and an FM radio with all kinds of upgrades over the older iWaver 02. It took them about 3 years to roll them out to production.

theres still a few days left, hopefully i dont win it now tho, lol the place we rent through threw on a 33 dollar late fee a month later, and i called and chewed them out yesterday for it, and today they stuck a thing on our door saying i have 1 day to pay the 33 bucks. i guess thats the only way they can get it out of me, i told them they want the 33 or 500, cuz ill move out tomorrow (today now) and she didnt say nothing. lol -------------------- ![]() |

yeah, when they still had them on the shelves, the 01's went for about $40 NIB. Most places have cleared them all out though.... you can't even get them from toyseast anymore.
